In memory of Enzo
Thursday 18th June 2009 was our beloved Enzo was put to sleep.

He had long put up with allergies, we had tried different treatments but none with good effect. He also had problems with the gastrointestinal system with bloody vomiting and diarrhea. Whether it was due to stress, allergies, we did not get solved.

Despite his enormous good temperament did the allergie, the constant itching stressed him so much that he had a problem with keeping weight, were irritable, and growled, showed teeth of both us and the other dogs if they were in his way. Finally he ended up with getting into fights over nothing. He was otherwise a dog that always went on without a fight.

We therefore chose to give him peace also because we could not risk that some day he would bite our daughter if she got in his way.

Enzo was otherwise a very loveable dog with a wonderful happy temperament. He loved to go to shows and he could hardly stay still until our exhibition friends would come and greet him when we met – he loved everybody.
It should then just be said that the breed is not known for allergies. He was briefly put on the list of stud-males, but was immediately taken off when we found out that he had allergies and we are thankfully that he never got to be used for breeding.

In all other respects he was an exclusive.

Rest in peace Enzo, we shall miss you and your happiness.

In memory off Felix

Thursday 01.04.2004 Felix left us, unfortunately, under very sad circumstances.

He had surgery on Tuesday because he mysteriously had eaten a rock. The operation was succesfull, Wednesday went well. But Thursday morning, he was suddenly critically ill and shortly after he gave up life.

Felix was a really nice dog, but he was certainly also his own master. He was my first dog that I had to myself for many years and he certainly bore the stamp of. He could have been a little better trained and he could be a bit temper. But he was also very lovable and naughty at the sweet way.

Because he was so much my dog, he had an idea that when I wasn’t at home, he didn’t go out in the garden or anywhere else. He was lying inside on the bed all day, even though Rene was home and perhaps was working in the garden. As soon as I was home, he went into the garden when he had said his hello.

The fact that he had been a single-person-dog for many years and has had little contact with children, we were somewhat excited about how he would behave when we got a child - whether he would be grumpy at the child or kind. But he was a clever dog, so he knew instinctively that he had to be gentle at the baby.

With the knowledge I have today on the Australian Silky Terriern, I actually believe that if he had had a pedigree and I had shown him that he would have done very well in the exhibition world.

I had 12 good years with Felix.

Rest in Peace Felix - I love you.
